Lucjan Nowinski was born in Poland in 1947.  From early childhood he was interested in art and after graduating from a High School Of Art, he entered the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (Poland) and graduated in 1972 with MA.  After he graduated, he worked creating artistic jewelry in silver and amber.  In 1987 he came to the US. He lives in NYC and Red Hook, NY.

Nowinski paints and works in mixed media, using epoxy resin and acrylic in his painting and sculpture.  He Exhibited his sculpture in the Kingston NY Sculpture Biennial (2007, 2009, 2011) and his paintings at some small galleries in New York and upstate NY.

In 2000 he and his friends turned an old barn in Red Hook, NY into a studio-gallery -One Way Studio- where he exhibited his 3-D paintings.

He had several pop-up shows – happenings at Rokeby Farm, where he placed his art in the landscape, using trees, stream and lights.
